SUMMARY

The Safety Coordinator ensures workplace safety compliance, conducts inspections, mitigates hazards, and promotes a safety-first culture through training and advocacy. OSH Yellow Book certification and a Diploma in Safety & Health are required, with retail experience preferred.

JOB DESCRIPTION

1) Safety Compliance

a) Ensure compliance with OSHA requirement.

b) Conduct routine safety audits and inspections.

c) Maintain and update safety documentation.

d) Conduct safety induction and training for staff.

e) Assist in incident investigations and reporting.

2) Risk Management

a) Identify and mitigate potential hazards in the workplace.

b) Coordinate emergency response drills.

c) Provide recommendations to improve safety measures.

3) Health & Safety Advocacy

a) Promote safety culture through campaigns and programs.

b) Collaborate with department heads to ensure safety standards.

c) Engage with external parties to ensure safety compliance.

Requirements

· Possess OSH Yellow Book certification.

· Diploma in Safety & Health or equivalent.

· Experience in the Retail Industry is an added advantage.

· Strong communication and organizational skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
