Responsibilities and Duties

  • Preparation of Management Reports, and ensure timely submission of reporting to Holding Company.
  • Close monitoring of Accounts Receivable functions, daily sales reports update & collections for all outlets.
  • Assist on Implementation of Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable control procedures and ensure team members are align with procedures implemented.
  • Ensure timely posting on Accounts Payable invoices, Vendor payment processing and monthly AP reconciliation & month end closing.
  • Day to day treasury functions & cashflow management; preparation of weekly cash flow forecast report; Monthly bank reconciliation.
  • Assist in preparation of annual budget
  • Assist in preparation of tax estimation, revision & yearly tax computation. Familiar with Malaysian tax system, SST and/or GST.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, Company Secretary, bankers, Merchants & Government authorities.
  • Perform checking & posting on Inter-Company billing transactions & reconciliation.
  • Fixed Asset register & Schedule update. Acquisition & disposals of Fixed Assets items.
  • Strong knowledge on accounting treatments, General Ledger, Journal processing, Forex.
  • Coaching & provide guidance to sub-ordinates & ability to lead the team, and ensure team members adhered to timeline given.
  • Maintain organised & proper filling system.
  • Other ad hoc finance or accounts related duties assigned by Superior/Management.

Requirements

  • Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Diploma,
  • Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma,
  • Professional Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
  • Preferably Assistant Manager/Senior Executive specializing in Finance – General/Cost Accounting or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of related working experience is required.
  • Independent, proactive, meticulous and able to multi-task.
  • Experience in retail industry and Accpac accounting software would be an added advantage.
