Job Description
- Perform analysis of gas, crude oil and any PVT related work. Ensure testing is done according to documented procedures and instructions and comply to QA/QC procedures.
- Ensure timeliness and accuracy to meet turnaround time.
- Ensure customer’s enquiry are acted upon within a day.
- Maintain and calibrate equipment as per schedule and update the records in the respective equipment file.
- Ensure raw data sheets are checked and signed off.
- Custodian of assigned lab equipment, apparatus – maintain and calibrate equipment systems to support the testing processes. Ensure the inventory of the standards and consumables of the equipment are updated on a monthly basis.
- Liaise with the vendor of the equipment for calibration.
- HSE - Ensure 5 UAUC’s are reported per month
- Ensure customer complaints are to be investigated with appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure good housekeeping and good laboratory practice.
- Ability to work at odd hours when called upon.
- Adhere to SGS Code of Integrity and clients’ confidentiality agreement
- Adherence to SGS Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Policy by uphold a good safety behavior and exercising necessary standard and process when carry out your responsibilities at all times to ensure compliance to the HSE requirements.
- Perform any other responsibilities as assigned by your reporting manager and/or Senior Management
Qualifications
- Degree in Chemical Engineering, Petroleum engineering subject or related field from recognized university.
- 2 - 3 years or more working experience in Oil & Gas industry where applicable.
- Experience with the operations of laboratory application.
- Must be fluent in English with excellent communication and report writing skills
- An aptitude for troubleshooting of analytical instrumentation.
- Willingness and ability to travel and work on site for extend periods of time.
- Self-motivated, sets high standards and cares about QHSE
