Key Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Development: Plan and implement a comprehensive music curriculum that aligns with the school’s academic standards and caters to a diverse student body.
  • Instruction: Teach music theory and practical skills in a variety of instruments and vocal training to students from primary to secondary levels.
  • Performance Coordination: Organize and direct school musical events, concerts, and performances, including choirs, bands, and ensembles.
  • Student Assessment: Evaluate and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to help them achieve their full potential in music.
  • Classroom Management: Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for music.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other teachers, staff, and parents to support the overall development and well-being of students.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of teaching experience in music
  • Certifications: Teaching certification is required. Additional certifications in music (e.g., ABRSM, Trinity) are advantageous.
  • Skills: Proficiency in at least one musical instrument and vocal training. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Cultural Sensitivity: Experience working in a multicultural environment and the ability to adapt teaching methods to suit diverse learning styles.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: RM80.00 per day
