Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of daily sorting operations
  • Develop & execute efficient sorting procedures to enhance efficiency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Analyze and implement changes for improved sorting processes.
  • Plan and execute key initiatives that contribute to operational excellence and business growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align logistics operations with business objectives and customer expectations.
  • Continuously monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Hire, train, manage, lead, mentor and motivate a team of operations managers, executives, supervisors, and frontline staff.
  • Able to forecast manpower capacity within in-house & agency.
  • Strategize action during down time and less dependent on single source of sorting.
  • Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the sortation team.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities and productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with industry safety and equipment standards.

Key Result Area - Sort

  • Oversee sorting center operations to ensure accuracy, speed, and compliance with safety standards.
  • Implement best practices for sorting operations, including automation and process optimization.
  • Monitor handling of goods to minimize damage or loss during the sorting process

Key Result Area - Manpower Management

  • Ensure daily sufficient capacity for fully inbound & outbound all parcels across all sort centres before linehaul departure time.
  • Take control on all possible initiative for manpower on every single sorting process in order minimize wrong sort/shipment within sort hub and to LM stations

Key Result Area - Cost Per Parcel

  • Constantly optimize manpower capacity and sorting process to utilize the cost per parcel.
  • Identify process gaps within the department and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Result Area - Technology & Process Improvement

  • Identify and implement technology solutions to streamline operations and improve visibility across the supply chain.
  • Drive process standardization and innovation to achieve operational efficiency and cost savings.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering and IT teams to enhance logistics systems and tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in logistics and supply chain operations, with at least 3 years in a senior management role.
  • In-depth knowledge of logistics operations, sortation & warehousing
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to drive decision-making.
  • Experience with logistics technology and tools, such as route optimization software and warehouse management systems.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and adapt to evolving business needs.
  • Experience in e-commerce logistics or express delivery services.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and optimize cost structures.
  • Knowledge of lean principles, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
