Job Summary

The QSR data team’s guiding aspiration is to help our organization manage data as a strategic asset, enabling decision makers to discover, access, and use data to better understand “what happened”, “why it happened”, “what may happen next”, and “how to respond” in ways that create superior value for our stakeholders.

This role involves in building, testing, deploying, and operating cloud-based data pipelines and data-intensive applications for QSR.

Job Responsibility:

• Build large-scale, cloud-based, distributed systems that collect, manage, and convert raw data into usable information for data scientists and business analysts to interpret.
• Make data accessible to QSR’s decision makers so that they can use it to evaluate and optimize QSR’s performance.
• Develop algorithms to transform data into useful, actionable information.
• Build, test, and maintain database pipeline architectures.
• Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies.
• Develop algorithms to transform data into useful, actionable information using data-oriented programming languages such as Python, Spark and SQL.

Qualification and Skill requirements:

• At least a bachelor’s degree majoring in computer science, software engineering, data science, or information systems.
• Certifications for data engineering professionals from providers such as Amazon, Google, Microsoft are a plus.
• 1 - 5 years of relevant working experience in related roles.
• Coding: Proficiency in coding languages used to build data-intensive systems – including SQL, Python and/or Spark is essential to this role.
• ETL (extract, transform, and load) tools: You should be proficient in building ETL processes through which data is moved from databases and other sources into a single repository, such as a data warehouse.
• Data storage: You should be familiar with various cloud-based data storage solutions that are used to construct data lakes, data warehouses, and data marts.
• Cloud computing. You’ll need to understand cloud storage and compute in Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: RM2,600.00 - RM3,600.00 per month
