INTERIOR DESIGN (ASSISTANT/PROTEGE)

Job Summary

• Report to the Project Director on project matters.
• To take design brief from Project Director/ Project Leader / Client, depending on project size & requirements.
• Overall planning of designated project.
• To conduct regular site visit / inspection.
• To hold internal brainstorming with Project Director/ Project Leader for design direction and conceptualization.
• To take charge of the design team to execute the assigned project from conception to completion under the supervision of Project Director/ Project Leader.
• Ensure the proposal worked out is within the given budget. Conduct internal discussion with QS prior to finalization of design.
• Assist the Project Director/ Project Leader in design development.
• Limited client liaison including correspondence, minutes of meeting, etc.
• Responsible to carry out design documentation, specifications and detailing.
• Attendance on site to ensure quality assurance of built works against documentation.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Research on finishes and materials for project proposal considerations.
• Responsible to translate design concept into design details.
• Responsible to double check drawings done prior to submission to other departments.
• Responsible for budget allocation.
• Responsible for checking of material lead time.
• Responsible for obtaining quotations from suppliers / vendors / contractors.
• Responsible to check through the Bill of Quantities by tallying with design drawings.
• Preparing design presentations and compiling material & sample boards.
• Keep supplier product information & pricing up to date.
• Create, file and maintain material library (samples, brochures, catalogues, etc.).
• Create and maintain on-line visual image library for reference.
• Experience in managing projects from conceptualization to completion.
• Good all-round knowledge of design, detailing, technical, costing and procedure.

Qualifications and Skills

• Responsible for all design related aspect - conceptualize design, space planning, detail design, assist in managing all aspects of design development & site implementation.
• Responsible for translating the design concept into design details.
• Familiar with AutoCad, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, PowerPoint, 3D Studio Viz / Max will be added advantage.
• Good command in Bahasa Malaysia & English

Ability to Travel (Project Site) :

• Lembaga Pelabuhan Klang (LPK)

Trainee PROTEGE will undergo 12 months program :

• Soft Skill Training for one 2 weeks.
• On Job Training for 11 months and 2 weeks

Requirements :-

• Fresh graduates Diploma (Assistant) and Degree (Assistant/PROTEGE) are encourage to apply
• Candidate must possess Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Interior Architecture or equivalent.
• Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English
• Familiar with AutoCad, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, PowerPoint, 3D Studio Viz / Max will be added advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: From RM2,000.00 per month
