DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for keeping track and progressively monitor cost for projects for depend on department such as Feild Join Coating, Non-Destructive Testing, Auto Welding Services and other department against the proposal budget.
  • Coordinate with Project Department on remedial actions for project cost items that vary against budget.
  • Create and maintain Project Cost Control Sheet and Template.
  • Set up project cost at the initial stage after receiving LOA/LOI/SO/PO/Subcontract for awarded project, in order to estimate total forecasts, quantity costs and expected outcomes.
  • Verify updated project cost from accounting system to cost control sheet on fortnight basis. (ie. Cost from chemical department, HR department, warehouse and equipment team) based on input data from Project Department.
  • Update budgeted cost with approved variation orders based on detail input by Project Engineers.
  • Monitor invoicing process to ensure invoices are issued regularly. Check all issued invoices before sending to client.
  • Produce project P&L report on a monthly/quarterly basis, with explanations on the variation against budget.
  • Prepare Financial Project Close Out report after completion of project for management review.
  • Maintain updates of order book and project list.
  • Maintain, update and review database of project cost (Equipment, Personnel, Logistics, Consumables) for use in project budget and in actual cost.
  • Maintain, update and review project chargebacks based on internal agreement rates (rates will be based on profit margins annually).
  • Insurance renewal for General Comprehensive Liability (GCL), Workmen’s Compensation (WC) and Employer’s Liability (EL) Insurance.
  • Able to do multitasking job when required and can cope with high pace environment.
  • Other ad-hoc tasks assigned by Assistant Manager-Finance/Manager-Finance from time to time.

REQUIREMENTS

  • At least Advanced Diploma/Degree in accounting/any discipline.
  • Minimum of 3-5 year working experience in related field.
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Good interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Possess good analytical and reporting capability.
  • Well-developed communication skills and ability to liaise with various levels of management, especially Project Management Team on project progress.
  • Attention to detail with high degree of accuracy
  • Analytic, persistent and reliable.
  • Strong diplomatic, negotiation and conflict resolution skills in handling late payment and delinquent accounts.
  • Possess a high level of moral judgement for handling confidential information and monetary transaction .
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and writing skills.
  • Good work ethic with positive team attitude.
  • Ability to meet timelines.
  • Self-motivated, self-learner and able to work under pressure.
  • Computer literate, Proficient in Microsoft application software e.g. Excel & Word.
