Job description
- Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation of ingredients, mise en place, and cooking of various dishes as per the menu and recipes provided by the Chef de Partie.
- Cooking: Responsible for cooking and presenting dishes according to the established standards and guidelines of the kitchen. This includes cooking techniques, seasoning, and plating.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all dishes leaving the kitchen meet the required quality and taste standards set by the Chef de Partie and the Head Chef.
- Cleanliness and Hygiene: Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhere to food safety and hygiene standards, and follow all kitchen procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Menu Development: May be involved in contributing ideas for new dishes and menu items, as well as providing feedback on existing recipes.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely service. Communicate effectively with colleagues and superiors.
- Training: Assist in training and mentoring junior members of the kitchen team, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Stock Management: Help in monitoring and managing kitchen inventory, including ordering and receiving supplies as required.
- Adherence to Regulations: Comply with health and safety regulations, company policies, and local food handling guidelines.
