Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities to expand the customer base and increase market share within the region.
- Establish and cultivate professional relationships with all consultants.
- Evaluate current and prospective business engagements with consultants.
- Analyze business trends and project future developments.
- Foster connections with governmental departments, including those responsible for water resources, drinking water, sanitation, and irrigation.
- Develop associations with all governmental planning departments.
- Monitor projects from the Detailed Project Report (DPR) phase onwards.
- Cultivate relationships with all State Public Health Engineering (PHE) offices.
- Undertake a minimum of 15 days of travel per month.
- Conduct market research to understand regional trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
- Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve sales targets and growth objectives.
- Sales Strategy and Execution:
- Develop and execute regional sales strategies to drive revenue growth and meet sales targets.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals to potential customers.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals in alignment with company policies and procedures.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customers, distributors, and partners.
- Understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions to meet those needs.
- Conduct regular follow-ups with customers to ensure satisfaction and address any issues.
- Collaboration and Coordination:
- Work closely with the regional sales team to ensure alignment with overall sales strategies and objectives.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute regional marketing campaigns and promotional activities.
- Coordinate with logistics and supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery of products and services.
- Market and Industry Insight:
- Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments relevant to ductile iron pipes and fittings.
- Share insights and recommendations with internal teams to enhance product offerings and sales strategies.
- Participate in industry trade shows, conferences, and events to maintain a strong network and stay updated on market trends.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Track and report on business development activities, opportunities, and progress towards targets.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions and sales data in the CRM system.
- Provide regular sales forecasts and reports to the regional sales director.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience (8+ years) in business development or sales, preferably in the ductile iron pipes and fittings industry or a related field.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing business development strategies that drive growth.
- Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
- Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
- Ability to travel within the designated region as required.

Pay: RM400,000.00 - RM550,000.00 per year
