  1. Make sure the webpage is open.
  2. In the Safari app on your Mac, choose Safari > Preferences, then click Security.
  3. Make sure the Enable JavaScript checkbox is selected.
  4. Click Websites.
  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

Responsibility & Requirements

Database Management and Support:

  • Administer, maintain, and support production, staging, and development database environments (e.g., MSSQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, etc.).

Operations Support:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related incidents, working closely with application and development teams.
  • Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) for incidents and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.
  • Monitor system logs, alerts, and performance metrics to proactively identify and address potential database issues.
  • Provide on-call support for database-related incidents as part of a rotational schedule.

Deployment and Maintenance:

  • Plan and execute database schema changes, patches, and updates with minimal impact to production systems.
  • Monitor database health and performance using tools and scripts, ensuring optimal operation and minimal downtime.
  • Perform database backups, restores, and recovery processes in line with business continuity policies.
  • Optimize database queries, indexes, and configurations for performance improvements.
  • Implement and maintain database security measures, including user access controls and encryption.

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in database administration, operations, or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in database technologies such as MSSQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle.
  • Hands-on experience with performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting complex database issues.
  • Strong understanding of database backup and recovery strategies, high availability, and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., SQL, Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds, or custom monitoring scripts).
  • Basic knowledge of cloud-based database solutions (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Google Cloud Spanner).

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM7,500.00 per month

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
