Job Summary:
The Senior Finance Executive plays a critical role in the financial success of our Malaysian operations. This senior leadership position requires a highly skilled and experienced individual with a proven track record in financial management, accounting, and analysis. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Malaysian accounting standards and tax regulations, coupled with strong leadership and communication skills. Experience in the F&B or retail sectors is highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Help develop and manage annual budgets and forecasts, conduct variance analysis, prepare financial reports and presentations for senior management, perform financial modeling and scenario planning, and develop key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Full-Cycle Accounting: Oversee all aspects of the accounting cycle, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and relevant tax regulations. This includes accounts payable and receivable, general ledger management, and financial statement preparation.
  • Financial Control & Risk Management: Implement and maintain robust internal controls, monitor financial risks, conduct internal audits, and ensure compliance with all applicable Malaysian laws and regulations.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns and regulatory filings in compliance with Malaysian tax laws (e.g., corporate tax, GST).
  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards and regulatory changes, ensuring ongoing compliance across all financial operations.
  • Financial Systems & Technology: Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial systems, ensuring data integrity and accuracy. Evaluate and recommend improvements to financial processes and systems.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate effectively with various departments to gather financial data, provide financial insights, and support strategic decision-making.
  • Team Leadership (if applicable): Lead, mentor, and develop a team of finance professionals, fostering a positive and high-performing work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent Malaysian qualification) is highly preferred.
  • Minimum 7-10 years of progressive experience in a senior finance role, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity (if applicable).
  • Extensive knowledge of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and tax regulations.
  • Proven experience in full-cycle accounting, financial planning and analysis, and financial risk management.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and financial modeling tools.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Experience in the F&B or retail industries is a significant advantage.

Pay: RM2,984.12 - RM5,775.75 per month
