WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH You will be based either in Pusat Rehabilitasi PERKESO, Perak working closely with our Optometry and Integrated Healthcare Team WHAT YOU’LL DO 1. Conduct initial assessments: • Perform thorough evaluations of patients referred for speech therapy services. • Gather medical history, assess speech, language, and swallowing abilities, and identify impairments. • Collaborate with senior therapists to interpret assessment findings and develop treatment plans. 2. Develop and implement therapy plans: • Assist in creating individualized therapy goals and objectives based on assessment outcomes. • Design therapy activities and exercises to address speech, language, and swallowing disorders. • Implement therapy sessions under the supervision and guidance of senior therapists. 3. Monitor and evaluate patient progress: • Regularly assess patient responses to therapy interventions and adjust treatment plans as necessary. • Document patient progress, including improvements or challenges observed during therapy sessions. • Communicate progress updates to senior therapists and other healthcare team members involved in patient care. 4. Provide counseling and education: • Educate patients and their families on speech therapy techniques and strategies. • Offer guidance on exercises and activities that can be practiced outside of therapy sessions. • Address questions or concerns regarding communication or swallowing disorders, fostering patient and caregiver understanding. 5. Maintain accurate records: • Keep detailed and organized documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes. • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and rehabilitation center policies for medical record keeping. • Prepare reports or summaries as needed for interdisciplinary team meetings or patient referrals. 6. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams: • Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals. • Participate in team meetings to discuss patient progress, treatment planning, and discharge planning. • Contribute insights and observations from therapy sessions to facilitate comprehensive patient care. 7. Professional development: • Stay informed about advancements in speech therapy practices through continuing education opportunities. • Seek guidance and mentorship from senior therapists to enhance clinical skills and knowledge. • Engage in professional organizations or seminars to expand understanding of speech, language, and swallowing disorders. 8. Other Duties as Assigned: • Perform any other duty as deemed necessary by the employer to support the organization’s goals and objectives." REQUIRED QUALITIES: Bachelor's degree in Speech Therapy Fresh graduate are encouraged to apply Proficient in conducting comprehensive eye examinations and vision assessments. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Detail-oriented with excellent record-keeping skills. Min Salary: RM2500
