Finance Manager

Job Overview:

The Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations of a publicly listed company. This includes managing financial reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements, and ensuring that financial strategies support the company's growth and market positioning. The Finance Manager will collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate and timely reporting and provide insights into financial performance to inform strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the full spectrum of finance and accounting functions including financial reporting, financial planning, budgetary controls.
• Develop, improve and monitor internal control policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Timely month-end closing and preparation of management reports and comprehensive analysis of financial results.
• Manage working capital and cash flow through effective management of receivables, inventories, creditors and capital expenditures.
• Timely preparation of budget, cash flow projections, forecasts and business plan.
• Liaise with internal and external parties which include tax agents, external auditors, bankers, insurance companies and relevant government authorities for approval and compliance.
• Undertake adhoc duties or special projects assigned from time to time.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics and qualified MIA member with ACCA/CIMA/CPA or equivalent.
• At least 8 years relevant working experience with a minimum 5 years in the managerial role position, with a focus on financial reporting and analysis in a publicly listed company and familiar with Security Commission (SC)/Bursa Malaysia.
• Experience in managing full financial accounting function.
• Strong background in preparing quarterly and annual reports, managing financial audits, and dealing with external auditors.
• Proficient user of finance software.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
• Able to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used.
• Leadership and team management skills, with a demonstrated ability to guide and develop staff.
• A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
• Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
• Experienced in taking a private company to a pubic listed company will be an added advantage.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: RM10,000.00 - RM15,000.00 per month
