Librarian

Methodist College Kuala Lumpur (MCKL) is looking for a Librarian Staff. We are looking for someone to help out in library duties and assists patrons in the use of library . Come do join us if you are interested to work in a young-fun environment.

What you will be doing:

• Monitor patrons’ use of the library and assist patrons locate both print and non-print resources.
• Sending email notice for overdue materials that have not been returned and any outstanding fines.
• Assist library with inventory check and shelf reading.
• Assist in collecting data for library report & library statistics and in processing new materials.
• Repair damaged books.
• Assist in photocopy, scanning, binding and laminating service.
• Undertake relevant duties as and when required from time to time.

Who are we looking for?

• At least a minimum SPM or Degree Holder.
• Possess at least one-year prior experience in academic library would be an added advantage.
• Attention to details.
• Good command of both written and spoken English is essential.
• Organized and flexible.
• Computer literate.
• Able to work independently, hardworking and has initiative.

We are looking for someone who can start immediately.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From RM2,500.00 per month
