Tower Design Specialist

Job Responsibilities • Transmission Tower design, as well as other structural related projects; Electrical Clearance Drawings, Component Design and Tower Line Diagrams. • Performing Tower Structural Analysis and preparing Design Calculations. • Tower Development, Details Structural Drawings and Fabrication Drawings. • Modifications to design to incorporate latest bare hand and hot stick live line maintenance procedures. • Analyse existing structures, to propose retrofitting to upgrade its capacity. • Provide Tower Technical Support to the purchasing department & Client. • Providing technical direction and engineering leadership for a team of engineers. • Mentoring and guiding junior engineers. • Contributing to the design and development of new products and features. • Ensuring that engineering processes are followed. • Maintaining product quality. • Collaborate with third parties on system build and integration testing. • Create technical specifications, test plans and documentation. • Initiate and lead the design and development of Automated Guided Vehicle (AVG) and it’s related equipment which includes concept development, prototype testing and engineering design. • Perform quality control checks, provide technical advice on feasibility, cost and timeline of port equipment projects. • Develop, maintain and document manufacturing processes and work instructions and assure conformance to ISO standards.
