Job Responsibilities • Developing and implementing policies, procedures, and guidelines for health, safety, and environmental management across all departments of the company. • Conduct regular safety, audits and risk assessments across all departments to identify potential hazards, assess risks, and implement appropriate safety measures. • Providing comprehensive health and safety training programs for employees to ensure they are aware of safety procedures and guidelines. • Creating emergency response plans and disaster management protocols for potential emergency response plans and disaster management protocols. • Ensuring compliance with local, national, and international health, safety, and environment regulations. • Liasing with external organizations and providing necessary reports and information related to health, safety environmental matters. • Providing regular reporting to the Board of Directors on the state of the company’s health, safety and environmental compliance and performance. Essential Qualifications and Certifications: •Academic Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. •Professional Certifications: - OSH related Certificate e.g OSH Coordinator Essential Experience: •Minimum of 3 years of experience in HSE roles, preferably in the oil and gas industry. •Proven track record in developing and implementing HSE programs. •Experience in conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and accident prevention. •Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., OSHA, NIOSH, DOSH). •Experience in conducting safety audits and inspections. •Knowledge of emergency response procedures and crisis management. Essential Skills and Knowledge: •Technical Skills: - Strong understanding of HSE principles and practices. - Knowledge of hazard identification, risk assessment, and control measures. - Proficiency in conducting safety audits and inspections. - Ability to interpret and apply relevant regulations and standards. - Reporting skills using MS Words, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint or Mac •Interpersonal Skills: - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work effectively with diverse teams, including contractors and subcontractors. - Strong leadership and motivational skills. - Ability to influence and persuade others to adopt safe work practices. •Problem-solving Skills: - Ability to identify and analyse safety issues. - Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. - Ability to develop and implement effective solutions.
