Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment on rigs, ensuring safe operation and compliance with relevant standards.
  • Troubleshoot electrical faults and perform required repairs on a variety of electrical systems, including NOV equipment or equivalent.
  • Carry out routine inspections and servicing of electrical equipment to ensure proper functioning and minimize downtime.
  • Work on hazardous area equipment, adhering to the latest industry standards and regulations.
  • Perform electrical testing and commissioning of equipment and systems.
  • Provide guidance and technical support to junior electrical staff and other departments when required.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies while working in the marine and offshore environment.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends, codes, and best practices related to electrical systems and safety standards.
  • Requirement
  • Minimum 5 years experience as a Rig Electrician or practical experience with electrical systems in the marine environment.
  • Extensive experience in NOV equipment or equivalent, minimum 2 years experience in a similar capacity.
  • Degree/ Diploma/ Cert/ Tertiary Education in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or equivalent
  • MUST have Hazardous Area equipment certification IEC 60079- 14 and IEC 60079-17 (eg: CompEX).
  • For Malaysian-non-Sarawakian, holding a valid work permit is preferable.

Job Type: Temporary
Contract length: 14 days

Pay: Up to RM9,999.00 per day
