Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic and electrical systems onboard rigs or marine vessels.
  • Inspect, test, and certify hazardous area equipment in compliance with IEC 60079-14 and IEC 60079-17 standards.
  • Ensure all electronic systems are operating efficiently and comply with safety regulations.
  • Provide technical support for electrical systems, including sensors, communication devices, and control systems.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to identify and address system inefficiencies or malfunctions.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and certifications.

Requirement

  • Minimum 2 years experience as a Rig Electronic Technician or practical experience with electrical systems in the Marine environment.
  • Degree/ Diploma/ Cert/ Tertiary Education in Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
  • MUST have Hazardous Area equipment certification IEC 60079- 14 and IEC 60079-17 (eg: CompEX).
  • For Malaysian-non-Sarawakian, holding a valid work permit is preferable.

Job Type: Temporary
Contract length: 14 days

Pay: Up to RM9,999.00 per day
