Key Responsibilities:
- Drawing and Drafting: Produce technical drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software or traditional drafting techniques.
- Collaboration: Work with engineers, architects, and designers to understand requirements and incorporate necessary specifications into the drawings.
- Design Modification: Revise drawings based on feedback, making necessary adjustments to meet project needs or comply with regulations.
- Specification Documentation: Include relevant information such as materials, measurements, and procedures in the drafts.
- Modeling: Use CAD software to create 3D models when necessary, representing complex structures or systems.
- Quality Control: Ensure accuracy in measurements, dimensions, and annotations for compliance with technical standards.
- Project Coordination: Help project teams stay on schedule by providing timely updates, adjusting plans, and managing revisions.
- Material Estimation: Provide rough estimates for the materials required based on the drafted designs.
- Site Visits: Occasionally visit construction sites or factories to ensure that designs are being implemented correctly.
Job Requirements:
- A diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Certification in CAD tools or drafting techniques can be advantageous.
- Proficiency in CAD Software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, etc.).
- Strong understanding of technical drawing standards and engineering principles.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other professionals.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to explain and present technical information.
- Proven experience in Interior Design projects is an added advantage.
