Key Responsibilities:Facility Operations and Maintenance:
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and lighting systems.
- Ensure all retail spaces, common areas, and back-office areas are clean, functional, and well-maintained.
- Conduct routine inspections of the property to identify and resolve maintenance issues promptly.
- Supervise on-site maintenance staff and coordinate with external vendors for specialized services.
Health, Safety, and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all local regulations, safety codes, and industry standards related to facility operations.
- Implement and monitor safety protocols, fire drills, and emergency evacuation plans.
- Conduct regular health and safety audits and address any areas of non-compliance.
- Maintain all safety equipment, such as fire extinguishers, sprinkler systems, and emergency lighting.
Vendor and Contractor Management:
- Manage relationships with service providers and contractors, including cleaning services, security, and maintenance teams.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors to ensure cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure services are delivered as per agreements.
Budgeting and Financial Management:
- Develop and manage the facilities budget, including forecasting maintenance and operational expenses.
- Track and manage utility expenses, identifying opportunities for cost reduction.
- Approve invoices and ensure payments are made in accordance with contract terms.
Project Management:
- Oversee renovation or refurbishment projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required standard.
- Plan and coordinate layout changes, equipment installations, or upgrades.
- Ensure minimal disruption to retail operations during maintenance or renovation activities.
Customer and Staff Support:
- Ensure the retail environment is welcoming and functional for customers, contributing to a positive shopping experience.
- Address facility-related complaints or concerns from staff and customers promptly.
- Provide support for in-store events, promotions, or seasonal changes requiring facility adjustments.
Requirements:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in facilities management, preferably in a retail or commercial environment.
- Proven experience managing maintenance teams and contractors.
- Skills and Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance procedures, and safety standards.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in facility management software and tools.
- Strong budgeting and financial management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for managing teams and interacting with stakeholders.
- Certifications (Optional):
- Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or equivalent.
- OSHA certification or similar safety training.

Pay: RM6,500.00 - RM8,500.00 per month
