The Cross Border Commercial team’s objective is to price, strategize and manage all cross border products and customized solutions to support various sales channels in growing market share and business. The Regional Assistant Manager, Cross Border (IA Product) is accountable for the commercial, operational and integration aspect of Intra-ASEAN outbound logistics products and to ensure product excellence through execution of pricing strategy, monitoring & leading initiatives related to product optimization.

As a member of the Cross Border Commercial team, the incumbent will be part of our Intra-ASEAN Commercial Product vertical, working closely with the Intra-ASEAN Operations Excellence Performance team, Intra-ASEAN solution team, Southeast Asia Sales team and Cross-Border Country sales team in driving growth & profitability of cross border products.

The incumbent is also responsible for executing product strategy and serves as subject matter expert to all commercial products under their purview. They will be accountable for these products’ financial, commercial and operational performance. The incumbent will also directly influence the competitiveness of our Intra-ASEAN logistics products and have a direct impact on the growth through close collaboration with other stakeholders. This includes owning all product features commercially & operationally, which requires bridging existing solutions and/or new solutions from new vendors to achieve price & operational competitiveness.

Responsibilities

  • The Intra-ASEAN Product Associate will work closely with Sales Channels to execute and support development of optimal and well-conceptualized logistics solutions
  • Execute and support cross-selling solutions and initiatives i.e. Last mile/Air Freight/Customs Clearance
  • Maintain and establish best practices, templates, policies, tools to expand and mature cross border capabilities for the organization
  • Monitor all lanes profitability & lead times
  • Execute pricing analysis and changes with constant feedback loop to relevant stakeholders to ensure commercial leadership of Intra-ASEAN logistics products
  • Assess and analyze product competitiveness in SEA landscape
  • Monitor industry trend and challenges
  • Serve as go-to market expert on all Intra-ASEAN products to various sales channel
  • Drive cost and lead time optimisation initiatives & discussions to meet Product SLA targets, topline revenue & gross margin
  • Execute & maintain standard prices
  • Implement and manage change when necessary to meet products’ requirement
  • Accountable for execution of commercial product roadmap, including but not limited to alignment with finance operations team, Country sales, OPEX and Sales offices
  • Any other initiatives determined by management
  • Execute and support cross-selling solutions and initiatives
  • Execute and/or create robust action plan to achieve volume growth and GP maximization
  • Support Intra-ASEAN Country marketing/acquisition and Sales Channel team for marketing activities
  • Joint customer visits and/or presentations to customers
  • Lead and/or propose solution design to meet customer requirement
  • Conduct and/or facilitate product training to increase the knowledge of XB & various sales channels
  • Work with OPEX to understand market competitive capabilities
  • Ensure our Intra-ASEAN logistics products are market competitive on operations & lead times
  • Support product optimization with focus on optimization of existing processes
  • To be the Subject matter expert for all existing Intra-ASEAN outbound products
  • Responsible for all capability requests raised by sales channel and ensure sales channel are equipped with information to explain and elaborate on rejected requests
  • Liaise with local country teams, XB country ops, biz ops, finance ops and OPEX team to ensure business requirements are adequately fulfilled
  • Responsible for the gross profitability & revenue of the solutions quoted
  • Monthly Intra-ASEAN origination Products Commercial Performance Analysis

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in Intra-ASEAN Cross Border eCommerce logistics
  • Proven experience in airfreight logistics sales/product experience
  • Familiarity with Commercial product lifecycle, ability to collect and understand pain points from stakeholders or from market research and networking
  • Strong organization and visualization of all details in product lifecycle
  • Possess strong data analysis and comfortable dealing with pricing models
  • Advanced Excel competency, with project management skills (client facing)
  • Ability to strive in a dynamic environment involving stakeholders with different priorities & backgrounds
