Indirect Procurement Specialist
The Indirect Procurement Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies for indirect goods and services. This role requires a proactive individual who can independently create processes, manage supplier relationships, and ensure compliance with company policies. The Specialist will work closely with internal stakeholders to optimize spending, streamline procurement processes, and support the digitalization of procurement operations, contributing to the company’s efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop the Indirect Procurement Function:
-Establish and implement procurement strategies and policies for indirect goods and services, including logistics, marketing, IT, and other areas.
-Independently create processes, tools, and templates for managing indirect procurement.
-Support digitalization of indirect procurement processes.
Indirect Suppliers Sourcing and Spend Management
-Analyze indirect spending categories and identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvement.
-Manage and support vendor sourcing, selection, and negotiation to achieve the best value.
Supplier Relationship Management:
-Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure service reliability, competitive pricing, and long-term partnerships.
-Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement improvement plans as needed.
Data-Driven Decision-Making:
-Conduct spend-analysis, market research, and benchmarking to support decision-making.
-Provide regular reports and updates on cost savings, supplier performance, and procurement metrics.
Policy and Compliance:
-Ensure procurement practices align with company policies and regulatory requirements.
-Communicate procurement policies across SBUs/departments and provide training to ensure adherence.
Collaboration and Cross-Functional Support:
-Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs and deliver solutions.
-Support departments in planning and budgeting for indirect procurement categories.
Continuous Improvement:
-Proactively identify and implement strategies to streamline processes, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.
-Stay updated with best practices in indirect procurement to enhance company operations.
TO BE A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:
Bachelor's degree; preferably with specialization in Supply Chain, Logistics, or other quantitative discipline.
Knowledge of ERP systems and procurement software (e.g. SAP, LN).
Minimum 3 years of experience in indirect procurement or supply chain management, preferably in a similar industry.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to RM4,500.00 per month
