Job Summary:

The Finance Intern will support the finance department with day-to-day operations, including accounting, financial reporting, and analysis tasks. Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting:
  • Assist in preparing financial reports, including monthly income statements and balance sheets.
  • Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies between actual and budgeted figures.
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable:
  • Help process invoices and ensure timely payments to vendors.
  • Assist in reconciling accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.
  • Data Entry and Management:
  • Enter financial data into accounting systems accurately.
  • Maintain and update financial records and documentation.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
  • Support the finance team in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Analyze financial trends and provide input for decision-making.
  • Compliance and Auditing:
  • Assist with internal and external audits.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
  • Ad Hoc Financial Tasks:
  • Conduct market research for financial benchmarking.
  • Assist with special projects as assigned by the finance manager.

Requirements:

  • Education:
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Skills:
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
