As MRO Manager at Valmet, you’ll be challenged by a wide range of brown filed projects and contribute to success in all areas of flow control business. From optimizing processes to ensuring the highest standards of safety and efficiency, your contributions will directly impact to accelerate business through end user project, distribution, and competitors’ replacement.

The role holder is expected to :

1. Growth MRO business

  • Identify and qualify high-potential leads early in the sales process.

  • Focus on aligning customer needs with tailored solutions.

  • Regularly analyze sales pipeline data to identify bottlenecks and opportunities.

  • Monitor and analyze proposal win/loss rates to refine strategies.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers.

  • Schedule regular meetings to maintain strong communication and alignment on business goals.

  • Upsell or cross-sell complementary products or solution that enhance the customer's operation.

2. Improve Sales and Distributors’ Knowledge

  • Develop regular training sessions for distributors and sales teams on industry trends, product features, and applications.

  • Emphasize how your products/services improve efficiency, reduce costs, or enhance sustainability.

3. Competitor Analysis

  • Conduct detailed research on competitors’ product offerings, pricing strategies, and market positioning.

  • Compare Valmet products and services against competitors in terms of price, performance, and features.

  • Identify gaps and leverage differentiators to improve competitive positioning.

4. Product and Price Strategy

  • Use competitive intelligence and customer feedback to develop dynamic pricing strategies.

  • Develop pricing campaigns, bundles, or discounts tailored for specific customer segments or markets.

5. Define Product Gaps and Development

  • Collaborate with technical teams to identify unmet needs in core industry and mega trend.

  • Use feedback from customers, distributors, and industry trends to identify gaps in the product portfolio.

  • Partner with key customers to pilot new products and gather insights for improvement.

To be successful in this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance, repair, and overhaul management, oil & Gas application experience ideally in the flow control, valve, or industrial equipment sector

  • Good experience in leadership and managing MRO business in AP market area

  • Strong customer-oriented person and sales skills

  • Strong understanding of flow control theory, process/Application, Material selection and Valves design.

  • Excellence English communication

  • Able to travel around Asia Pacific area as quarterly or depends on business cases.
