Key Responsibilities:

  • Electrical System Management:
  • Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair 11kV electrical systems, switchgear, transformers, and associated equipment.
  • Ensure the continuous supply of power for retail outlets and service facilities.
  • Preventive Maintenance:
  • Develop and execute preventive maintenance programs for electrical equipment and systems.
  • Identify and rectify potential electrical issues to prevent downtime or hazards.
  • Compliance & Safety:
  • Ensure compliance with Suruhanjaya Tenaga (Energy Commission) and local electrical regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Emergency Handling:
  • Respond promptly to power outages, electrical failures, or emergencies to minimize disruption.
  • Perform corrective actions and prepare reports for any incidents or breakdowns.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspection reports, and electrical system status.
  • Prepare technical reports and update management on system performance and issues.
  • Team Support & Supervision:
  • Provide technical guidance and training to junior technicians or facility staff.
  • Coordinate with external contractors for specialized electrical work or major repairs.

Qualifications:

  • Education & Certification:
  • Possess a valid BO Chargeman Certificate (up to 11kV) certified by Suruhanjaya Tenaga (Energy Commission).
  • Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is an advantage.
  • Experience:
  • At least 3–5 years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in the retail or services industry.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in operating and maintaining 11kV systems, switchgear, and transformers.
  • Familiar with energy management systems and best practices in electrical efficiency.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal abilities for team collaboration.
  • Others:
  • Willingness to work on shifts, weekends, or public holidays when required.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle emergencies effectively.

Pay: RM7,500.00 - RM8,500.00 per month
