Learning and Development Intern

This role will exist within the Intern Program and is intended to attract top-performing undergraduate college students studying (Majors), or similar disciplines. The role is meant to provide undergraduate projects passionate about propelling Smith+Nephew forward while advancing the student’s career. The program will provide meaningful work experiences for Interns, team-building events, and social activities when available. Successful candidates for the Intern position will gain valuable experience in the medical device industry which could craft career decisions and build future employment opportunities.
What will you be doing?
Program Coordination
- Support the implementation and management of the employee trainings.
- Coordinate schedules, manage communication with trainers and trainees, and handle logistical arrangements.
- Assist in tracking program progress and preparing periodic reports.
Trainer and Content Development
- Collaborate with subject matter expert and trainer and assist them in designing and developing training materials.
- Ensure training content is clear, engaging, and aligned with company standards.
Process Automation
- Explore and implement automation solutions using tools like Power Automate and Power BI.
- Create dashboards and reports to streamline data visualization and decision-making processes.
- Identify areas for process improvement and recommend innovative solutions.
What will you need to be successful?
- Candidates should be pursuing a degree in Science, Engineering, IT, or a related field with a CGPA of 3.5 or higher. Prior experience through internships, part-time work, or apprenticeships is helpful.
- Strong planning, organizational, and multitasking skills are critical, along with basic knowledge of Power Automate and Power BI. Excellent communication, teamwork, and a proactive learning attitude are required. Candidates should demonstrate independent thinking, the ability to manage tight deadlines, and adaptability to prioritise multiple tasks or changing assignments.
