Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • To prepare, liaise with and follow-up the audit conducted by National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency (NPRA) and other regulatory bodies (such as JAKIM/ JKKP) to maintain the company licensing compliance.
  • To oversee, organize and manage the QA/ QC department to ensure that product quality comply with regulatory requirements and company objectives.
  • Establish proper documentation control & implementation of QA/ QC procedures, and SOP to ensure compliance to GMP system.
  • To review, approve or reject the release of all raw materials which need to be used for production based on the lab test results/ product specification.
  • To on-hold the non-conforming products from further processing or shipment to customers. To advise disposition of non-conforming product to Management if necessary.
  • Responsible for the final release of finished products.
  • Lead the QA/ QC department and work closely with other departments on troubleshooting product quality issues and process control optimization.
  • To work with Production/ Maintenance Department and ensure that execution of qualification and validation of production equipment or process in compliance with regulatory GMP requirements.
  • To analyse, prepare and review the Product Quality Review (PQR) report, Verification/ Validation report.
  • To liaise with and give advice to Purchasing Department on all matters pertaining to the existing materials’ quality or newly introduced materials.
  • Responsible to monitor the performance of suppliers and service providers through evaluations or site audit.
  • Responsible for the Product Complaint and Recall.
  • To liaise with the Marketing and Sales team on customer complaints, to ensure that investigation and corrective actions shall be carried out in proper and timely manner.
  • To conduct internal audit and monitor corrective actions to rectify non-compliance matters.
  • To analyse, review and justify the test frequency on samples to ensure acceptable and confidence level of results.
  • Responsible to establish training program for QA/ QC Personnels periodically.
  • Responsible to conduct in-house trainings on GMP and personal hygiene practices for all production personnels.
  • To assist in R&D for the implementation of improved formulas and new product development project.
  • To perform any other task assigned by superiors.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors/ Diploma in Pharmaceutical/ Food Technology/ Science/ Biology/ Chemistry, with minimum 4 years in the related field are required for this position.
  • Preferably experience as Assistant Managers/ Manager specializing in Quality Control/ Assurance or equivalent.
  • Knowledgeable about Pharmaceutical Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), local authority regulations, safety procedures and managerial tactics
  • Have good leadership, interpersonal relation skill and strong communication skill
  • Possess analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Highly organized, tactful, conscientious, keen eye for details
  • Possess experience in conducting internal audit and product verification is added advantage
  • Willing to put in extra hours to complete tasks particularly during audit period
