Machinist II

Job Responsibilities:

• Operate and set up CNC Machine such as CNC lathes, CNC milling 3, 4 Axis, to produce parts according to specifications.
• Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions to determine machining operations and tolerances.
• Adjust machine settings and tooling to ensure parts meet required dimensions and finishes.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Ensure all parts meet tight tolerances and quality standards.
• Identify and resolve quality issues during production.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues to minimize downtime.
• Communicate with maintenance teams for major machine repairs or servicing.
• Recommend changes to machining setups or tooling to enhance production quality and reduce cycle times.
• Provide guidance and support to Machinist I team members.
• Assist with training new hires and less experienced machinists on machine operations and safety protocols.
• Ensure adherence to workplace safety standards and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following 5S principles.

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent, vocational training in machining is preferred.
• 3 to 4 Years of experience in a related field.
• Certification in CNC Milling or related technical skills in an advantage.
• Advanced knowledge of machining techniques, tools, and materials.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex blueprints and GD&T.
• Skilled in using precision measuring instruments for quality assurance.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Basic CNC programming knowledge (e.g., G-code / M-code) is a plus.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: From RM1,700.00 per month
