A well-established award winning Education Group that is a strong player in its industry and has presence globally. They are looking to bring on board an excellent Accounting Manager to lead their team in Penang.

Job Description

· To prepare full sets of accounts, check & monitor accounts receivables, accounts payable and prepare monthly bank reconciliation.

· To prepare and monitor monthly cash flow.

· To ensure petty claims are in order before disbursement.

· To update monthly management report structure and financial schedules.

· To prepare yearly financial budget & forecast.

· To prepare 5 years’ projection and cash flow.

· To prepare fixed assets schedule.

· To arrange for physical audit on fixed assets and monitor the needs for disposal.

· To liaise with external auditors on the schedule of yearly audited accounts and ensure the accuracy, compliance and timely of the submission date.

· To liaise with tax agent on the tax computation and ensure the accuracy, compliance and timely of the submission date.

· To liaise with company secretary on secretary related issues.

· To do Tax forecast, Tax Review and Tax Planning/Saving.

· To verify, monitor, control and liaise with suppliers for purchasing requests and ensure the purchase orders are issued in a timely manner.

· To make constructive and cost-effective recommendations for the betterment of the company.

· To support in the entire ISO 9001-2015 development of the company and related follow-up maters when need arises.

· To carry out any ad hoc task required by the Management as and when necessary.

· Responsible for daily operational matters of account department.

Requirement to succeed

· Minimum bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.

· A member of MIA. Possess a professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, or CIMA would be an advantage.

· With at least 3 years of working experience in full set of accounts or accounts- related work

· PC literate and good working knowledge of ACCPAC accounting software would be an advantage.

· Familiar with the accounting standards, Companies Acts and Tax Guidelines.

· Good financial analytical skills with an eye for details.

· Good communication and interpersonal skills.

· Risk assessment knowledge and skill for potential risk and its consequences.

· Must be organized, able to multi- task, flexible and responsible.

· A team player, positive mind and able to work under pressure.
