MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

JOB PURPOSE

Preventive Maintenance:

- Perform regular checks, inspections, and maintenance on diecasting machines to prevent breakdowns.

- Plan and follow a scheduled maintenance plan to ensure all equipment is in good working condition.

- Ensure clean and lubricate machine parts as required to avoid wear and tear.

Troubleshooting and Repair:

- Diagnose and troubleshoot machine faults, breakdowns, and malfunctions.

- Plan and perform repairs and replacements on faulty components such as hydraulic systems, motors, controllers, and diecasting units.

- Ensure minimal production downtime by addressing issues efficiently.

Machine Setup and Calibration:

- Assist in machine setup and calibration for different production runs.

- Ensure machines are set to the correct parameters for optimal performance.

Documentation and Reporting:

- Maintain accurate records of machine maintenance activities, including parts replaced and repairs performed.

- Report on the condition of machines, highlighting areas for improvement or investment.

Safety and Compliance:

- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety protocols and regulations.

- Promote a safe working environment by following industry best practices and maintaining a clean work area.

Continuous Improvement:

- Collaborate with production teams and other engineers to identify opportunities for improving machine performance.

- Participate in troubleshooting, process optimization, and machinery upgrades.

Inventory Management:

- Ensure the needed spare parts inventory, ordering replacement parts as needed.

- Ensure that all necessary tools and equipment are available for maintenance tasks.

JOB REQUIREMENT

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/ Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
0 - 2 years of experience in related field.
Fresh graduates are welcome.
Familiar with Machining process, tooling and other related to jigs.
Strong organizational/time management skills.
Familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel & Powerpoint.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
Able to multi-task and work under pressure
