Responsiblities

  • Managing overall Company Custom’s compliance division and provide support for the Logistic services in Customs and Compliance related.
  • Responsible in implementation of Customs duty and tax exemption MIDA and LMW and co-ordination of activities associates to it.
  • Require a working knowledge of Customs procedures and regulations.
  • Optional :- Management of Customs special procedures - Authorised Economic Operator (AEO), Customs Warehouse (CW) and Inward Processing Relief (IPR).

Job Descriptions

  • Responsible for ensuring Company remains comply to the Malaysia import and export regulations requirement.
  • Responsible for application / renewal and upkeeping of the MIDA and LMW exemption.
  • Responsible of record keeping and documents as well of exemption scheduled report submission to Authority.
  • Knowledge in Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) – optional.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement Activities in relation to Customs compliance.
  • Interface and maintain relationship with internal department and external clients such as Logistics and regulatory department – Freight forwarder, Customs and MIDA or advisors or any other third parties on customs trade compliance issues.
  • Conduct audits to ensure compliance with import and export regulations.
  • Responsible updating new products code time to time.
  • Responsible for obtaining HS code classification and customs ruling activity of all company products.
  • Responsible in the implementation and ongoing management of Customs procedure.
  • Additional duties as assigned by Management.
  • Knowledgeable in Customs operation and HS codes.
  • Knowledgeable and understand shipping incoterms.
  • Knowledgeable and familiar with import/export gateway and operation – land, sea and air – optional.
  • Additional duties as assigned by Management.

Other Requirements

  • Diploma/ Bachelor’ Degree or above in Supply chain and Logistics management.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experienced (less can be considered)
  • Ability to work with Microsoft Office (intermediate Excel skill is compulsory) and SAP knowledge will be an advantage.
  • Research, excellent conflict resolution/creative problem-solving, and follow-up skills.
  • Diligent, eager to learn, proactive, and possessing strong sense of responsibility and execution capabilities in works.
