Get to Know the Team

As a Lead Product Designer on the Deliveries - Food/Mart team, you will be part of a group of accomplished product designers and UX writers who are carving the pathway for the future of online ordering and discovery. Based in Malaysia, you will command a high level of autonomy, whilst actively collaborating with product managers, engineers, analysts, and business teams to help shape the future of online ordering and discovery.

Get to Know the Role

As a Lead Product Designer on the Deliveries - Food/Mart team, you will own Product Design outcomes and practise for several problem space teams - owning quality & excellence across these teams. You will work in a highly collaborative fashion, exploring the needs of our users and creating impactful solutions for the business. You will report to Senior Designer Manager and work onsite with hybrid working setup at the Grab Malaysia office.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

  • Drive Product Design outcomes and strategic initiatives across teams.
  • Ensure we build valuable, usable, feasible, and viable solutions, trade-offs and safeguarding goals.
  • Defend design decisions to senior stakeholders.
  • Facilitate alignment and efficiencies across domains, functions, and teams.
  • Drive problem exploration, solution discovery, and delivery, in complex situations.
  • Assist designers in adjacent teams to deliver better work.
  • Develop problem-framing approaches, affecting across teams.
  • Design simple solutions to complex problems, knitting together multiple 'products' in an experience.
  • Produce visual design that enhances user experiences.
  • Use various prototyping tools and methods for creating interactive and realistic prototypes.

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

  • Provide a portfolio of your recent design work in English, showcasing your contribution and the impact of your projects. We recommend you provide clear context, outline your end-to-end workflow, and demonstrate how you go from problem discovery to launch.
  • 6+ years of Product Design experience.
  • Experience working on cross-functional product teams.
  • Excellent fundamentals in interaction and visual design craft and practice.
  • Experience coaching others in interaction design, visual design or prototyping.
  • Excellent knowledge of mobile and front-end web standards and development.
  • Experience with Figma, Protopie, After Effects or other design tooling.
