Our client is looking for Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), he/she will play a critical role in driving the commercial success of our food and beverages company in Malaysia. The CCO will be responsible for developing and implementing the company's commercial strategy, overseeing all sales, marketing, and business development functions. This leadership position requires a visionary leader with a deep understanding of the food and beverages market and the ability to drive growth through innovative strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Commercial Strategy Development:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive commercial strategy that aligns with the company’s overall objectives and drives revenue growth.
  • Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, partnerships, and potential revenue streams.
  • Ensure that the commercial strategy is adaptable to market changes and consumer trends.
  1. Sales Leadership:
  • Lead and manage the sales team, setting clear objectives and performance standards.
  • Drive sales initiatives to meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Develop and implement effective pricing strategies that optimize profitability.
  1. Marketing Oversight:
  • Oversee the marketing team in creating and executing marketing campaigns that enhance brand visibility and market share.
  • Develop product positioning and messaging that resonates with target consumers.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure alignment between commercial and marketing goals.
  1. Business Development:
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including potential partnerships, joint ventures, and expansion into new markets.
  • Lead negotiations and close deals with key partners and clients.
  • Ensure the company remains competitive and innovative within the industry.
  1. Customer Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty through effective service delivery and relationship management.
  • Act as the main point of contact for major clients and ensure their needs are met.
  1. Financial Management:
  • Work closely with the finance team to set commercial budgets, forecasts, and financial targets.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of commercial activities using key metrics.
  • Ensure that all commercial operations are cost-effective and deliver value.
  1. Leadership and Team Development:
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the commercial, sales, and marketing teams.
  • Foster a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Identify and develop high-potential team members for future leadership roles.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • At least 10 years of senior-level experience in commercial roles, preferably within the food and beverages industry.
  • Proven track record of driving significant revenue growth and expanding market share.
  • Skills:
  • Strong leadership and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Deep understanding of the food and beverages market in Malaysia and the broader region.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
