Finance Business Partner (Senior to Assistant Manager Level)

Overarching purpose:

1. Partnering the Business, to provide financial insight for the management, to ultimately ensure financial data is available anytime anywhere, in order to drive sound decision making.

2. Working closely with shared service team, to ensure smooth proceedings of company day-to-day finance reporting operations.

Key tasks:

1. Develop good understanding of industrial software solution business model and end-to-end financial processes and implications

2. Maintain monthly management pack including financial analysis and forecast

3. Business control – partner with various departments to assist in develop and monitor budget and forecasting models for Business P&L and key balance sheet items

4. Working with shared service operation team, to support month-end closing, accounting, tax and transactional matters

5. Actively engage in new business model discussions and provide relevant financial support

6. Participate digitalisation and automation of the Business and refinement of it, especially on financial system related matters

Key requirements:

1. 3+ years experiences in financial management/ controlling/ BP role in a software/technology sector, ideally in a commercial finance role but not required

2. Understanding of cross-border billing between Malaysia, Singapore and China, service tax and withholding tax matters, some experience dealing with these issues are ideal but not essential

3. Solid accounting knowledge especially on revenue recognitions for technology business, in both project based Capex and SaaS sales models

4. Demonstrable capabilities in translating operational matters into financial stimulations and vice versa

5. Strong interpersonal skills, able to work well with non-finance people and build business relationship to success

6. High level communication skills with the ability to converse in English and Mandarin to a professional working level
