Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated FTC (12 Months contract) Procurement Specialist to manage our organization’s IT and non-IT procurement activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for researching and identifying potential suppliers, ensuring all purchased products and materials meet our specifications, and negotiating with vendors, as necessary. The role involves working closely with various leaders within our organization to understand our needs and ensure we achieve our supply goals promptly.

This position has the potential to convert to a permanent role based on performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research to identify potential suppliers.
  • Collaborate with internal project teams and maintain robust supplier relations.
  • Evaluate products and suppliers based on key business criteria.
  • Prepare and submit proposals, request quotes, and negotiate purchase terms and conditions.
  • Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns.
  • Inspect and evaluate the quality of purchased items and address any shortcomings.
  • Source to Contract – till PO issuance (Work with stakeholders to ensure contract is signed and POs issued – timely and accurately.)
  • Upload signed contract into ARIBA.
  • Analyze industry, demand trends, and assist senior management in developing and implementing sourcing strategies.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Procurement Specialist or a similar role.
  • Min 5 years in similar role/ capacity.
  • Solid understanding of IT and non-IT purchasing strategies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and business application software, including purchasing and resource planning systems.
  • Able to function independently in a new set up environment.
  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Must be available to start ASAP or with a short notice period.
  • Demonstrate success in leading project teams to achieve quantifiable savings by applying sourcing methods.
  • Manage, promote, support, and run e-sourcing events across multiple spend categories to ensure non-IT procurement approaches the market optimally, using the right tools and technology.
  • Experience working in indirect procurement is a plus.
  • Develop, support, lead, and/or manage the development of category strategies, multiple sourcing and process projects, continuous improvement plans, supplier SLA’s.
  • Develop sourcing strategy and lead a cross-functional team to execute the strategy.
