Job Title : L1 Support Engineer
Job type : Full time / Permanent
Location : KL, Malaysia
Experience : 2+yrs
Note: Selected candidates need to relocate Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Visa & flight tickets will be sponsored by the company.
Provide technical support for banking applications, focusing on Shell scripting and SQL-related issues.
Write, troubleshoot, and optimize Shell scripts to automate routine tasks and improve system efficiency.
Execute SQL queries for data extraction, validation, and issue resolution.
Monitor banking systems and applications to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
Investigate and resolve system issues promptly, ensuring minimal downtime and impact on banking operations.
Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and operations teams to resolve complex technical issues.
Perform root cause analysis of system incidents and suggest preventive actions.
Maintain detailed documentation of technical issues, resolutions, and support procedures.
Ensure all issues are addressed within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Stay informed on banking regulations and ensure compliance in all system operations.
Proficiency in Shell scripting (Bash, KornShell, etc.) for automating tasks and system management.
Ability to execute basic SQL queries for data extraction, validation, and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with banking systems or applications, and the ability to navigate within the financial services environment.
Strong skills in diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to system performance, scripts, and database queries.
Experience in monitoring system health and performance to ensure continuous uptime of critical banking applications.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Experience in handling and resolving system incidents within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Ability to maintain detailed documentation of technical issues, resolutions, and processes.
Should be available to work in shifts.
Basic knowledge of banking IT infrastructure and security protocols.
