About The Position

Virtuos Malaysia is currently looking for a talented Senior Designer. You will help drive several facets of game design, including boss designs, encounters, systems, gameplay, and mechanics. You will work on multiple game genres and harness a solid understanding of what makes games fun.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the vision of projects set by the Design Directors and lead designer
• Design and own mechanics, systems, and content from concept to implementation
• Find creative and practical solutions that achieve intended experiences that fit within a project's scope.
• Advocate for designs and motivate the team to work on them
• Create clear and concise design documentation and support design work in multiple projects
• Drive alignment across multiple game design and project stakeholders and help guide the implementation efforts.
  
  
  

Qualifications

• 3-6 years experience in the games industry
• Has worked on at least two commercial projects
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
• An in-depth knowledge of various game systems and the motivations and mechanics that govern them
• A strong understanding of players’ behaviors
• A firm handle on being able to write design documentation concisely and to the full extent of what’s required for a design to be carried out.
