Our Finance department is a fundamental part of Doctor Anywhere and plays a pivotal role in ensuring the company's financial stability. We are responsible for advising management on financial decisions that have a far reaching impact on the company's future.

About The Role

We are seeking an Accountant who will be supporting the Doctor Anywhere Group’s consolidation and reporting.

The ideal candidate will have a mindset of continuous improvement and change and will demonstrate curiosity, collaboration and the ability to deal with ambiguity especially in a start-up environment. You are passionate about providing excellent internal client support across the entire organization and have prior experience in accounting.

This role is based in Malaysia and reports directly to the Senior Manager, Group Finance at the Singapore Head Office

A summary of the key responsibilities are as follows :

• Prepare consolidated financial statements for the group, ensuring compliance with both international and local accounting standards
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports to management and investors, provide financial analysis on these reports
• Support the Manager to develop and maintain group-wide financial reporting procedures and systems. Review, recommend and carry out improvements to accounting systems, business processes and procedures where required
• One of the key point of contacts for financial stakeholders i.e. investors, audit committee, bankers, tax advisors and external auditors
• Prepare and present financial results to the senior leadership team
• Collaborate with the local finance teams in the region to standardize processes and improve efficiency
• Assist the Manager to implement and enforce of financial policies, procedures and best practices across the group’s financial operations
• Ensure compliance with corporate governance and any other statutory requirements, including but not limited to corporate and indirect taxes, transfer pricing regulations and audit
• Partner with the FP&A team in providing analysis on any deviations with actual financials
• Monitor and optimize group funding structures and capital allocation, improve cash flow efficiency and reduce cash burn rate
• Any other ad hoc duties assigned when appropriate
  
  

About You

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance or ACCA graduate
• Professional accounting qualification i.e. CA or CPA is preferred
• Minimum 6 years of experience in similar capacity, prior experience in the Big 4 and/or healthcare industry will be an added advantage
• Knowledgeable and experienced in accounting principles and practices, financial reporting, audit and taxation
• Proficiency in relevant accounting software preferably in Oracle NetSuite and MS office / G-suite applications
• Meticulous, independent, proactive, responsible, able to multitask and meet tight deadlines
• Unquestioned integrity and high standards in the work you do
• A good team player with high level of maturity and independence
• Proficient in oral and written English and Malay language. Additional languages are an added bonus.
• A start-up attitude - you take full ownership of things that you do, willing to go out of your comfort zones and take on new challenges.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and flexible to learn new things - we’re not done growing, and heading into uncharted territories is part of the fun!
