Planning Manager (Base Maintenance Malaysia)

Planning Manager Roles:

1. Oversees BMM Centralized Planning activities in SIN and Production Planning and Control processes at Subang. Ensure seamless handover between the two teams.
2. In charge of BMM planners attached to Centralized Planning (SIN) and Subang hangars. Ensure Planning provides support to Operations so that maintenance checks can be completed efficiently and on time.
3. In charge of BMM Tool Store and Ground Support Equipment section and their personnel. Ensure that tools callout by BOT are available for C checks and ground equipment are in good working condition.

Planning Manager Job Descriptions:

1. In charge of Centralized Planning/Commercial AO and Production Planning and Control AO who oversee:

a) BMM staff attached to Centralized Planning (SIN). Oversee and coordinate BMM Centralized Planning activities performed by EC team at SIN and ensure seamless handover to BMM Planning team at Subang. (BMM Centralized Planning (SIN) activities include Commercial, Quotation, Slot Scheduling, Check Packaging and Standards).

b) Subang hangar bay planners and the support they provide to ensure smooth and efficient aircraft maintenance check execution.

2. In charge of Tool Store and Ground Support Equipment AO who oversees:

a) BMM Tool Store and its personnel, making sure aircraft tools are in good working condition and calibrations are carried out on time.

b) Make certain that tools required under the Bill of Tooling are available in keeping with the workflow (I-xx) of each maintenance check.

c) Ground Support Equipment section and its personnel. Ensure sufficient equipment to support 4 maintenance lines. Program for routine equipment maintenance to keep them in good working order.

3. Additional responsibilities and duties associated with the role of Planning Manager:

a) Tools brought in under loan: Jointly work with Operations to return tools as soon as possible to reduce loan charges.

b) Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify potential risks and challenges and develop mitigation strategies. Implement appropriate measures to minimize project delays, cost overruns, and technical issues.

c) Quality Assurance: Establish quality standards and procedures. Monitor and evaluate the quality of work perform at all times.

d) Continuous improvement: Identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing best practices to enhance work effectiveness.

e) Feedback Analysis: Collect and analyse user feedback to gain insights into their experiences and preferences. Data can be used to enhance products, services, and overall user satisfaction.

f) Such other duties assigned by GM/DGM to support the overall workflow.
