JOB PURPOSE

  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis on publicly traded companies, inclusive of initial public offering (IPO) and providing investment recommendations based on fundamental analysis. Monitor market trends, evaluate company performance and communicate insights to portfolio managers and other stakeholders to support investment decisions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Research on Stocks, Sectors and Market Trends: Conduct thorough research on individual stock, sectors, industry and market conditions. Evaluate company fundamentals, business models, financial health and growth prospects as well as performing company valuations. Produce regular reports, sectors analyses and stock recommendations to the relevant stakeholders.
  • Prepare Investment Recommendations and Proposals: Provide investment recommendations based on through analysis and valuation. Deliver and present recommendations to portfolio managers, Group Chief Investment Officer and Group Investment Management Committee.
  • Monitor and Track Market Trends, Regulatory Changes and Economic Developments: Monitor and update recommendations based on new information or changes in market conditions. Stay informed on market trends, regulatory changes and economic developments that could impact equity market. Provide insights and research support to the broader investment team.
  • Monitor Compliance: Ensure adherence to investment policies and guidelines and report any compliance issues to management.
  • Engage in Industry Activities: Attend industry conferences, site visits and meetings with company management.
  • Support Internal Requests: Prepare and review information requested by other unites and departments within MNRB Group.
  • Assist with Department Tasks: Support the Investment department with tasks assigned by senior leaders and management.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

Academic

  • Degree in Finance / Business Administration / Accountancy / Banking / Economics or equivalent.

Professional

  • Professional certifications such as CFA, ACCA, FRM or equivalent would be an added advantage. Candidates who are actively pursuing these certifications are also encouraged to apply.

Experience

  • Min 2 -3 years of experience in equity research or related roles would be an added advantage.
  • Strong understanding of equity markets, financial modelling and company valuation techniques.
