GKash Sdn Bhd is a licensed e-money issuer and registered merchant acquirer regulated by Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) since 2017. GKash is a payment facilitator for banks, card schemes, and e-wallet players in Malaysia. The company is based in Kuala Lumpur.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Quality Assurance Engineer. The QA Engineer will be responsible for executing tests, ensuring quality assurance, and conducting manual testing. The QA Engineer will also be responsible for creating test cases and software testing.

Qualifications

  • Experience in test execution and quality assurance
  • Proficiency in manual testing and creating test cases
  • Experience in software testing
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Preferably a Degree/ Diploma in Software Engineering, Computer Science/Information Technology or a degree in STEM
  • Minimum 1-2 years experience are encouraged to apply. Completion of software testing/ quality assurance module in university is an added advantage
  • Ability to learn quickly and work autonomously in a fast paced environment
  • Self-motivated and ability to work independently or in a team.
  • Knowledge/ Experience in web security and vulnerability testing is advantageous
  • Knowledge/ Experience in automated testing with CI/CD is advantageous
  • Knowledge/ Experience with any programming language, preferably Java, Javascript, Python and C# is advantageous

Responsibility

  • Constantly review and assess new and existing software to discover bugs
  • Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
  • Design, develop, maintain and execute automation scripts using open source tools
  • Setup manual testing in scenarios that are not covered under automated testing
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
  • Identify, record and document thoroughly all open defects and bugs
  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
  • Work closely with developers and product owners to understand system requirements
  • Develop standards and procedures to determine software quality and release readiness
  • Stay up-to-date with the advancements in testing tools and test strategies
