Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Reporting & Analysis:
- Assist in preparing and reviewing financial statements, management reports, and forecasts.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Support the Finance Manager in developing financial models to facilitate strategic decision-making.
- Provide financial insights and analysis to aid management in decision-making.
- Assist in preparing reports for internal and external stakeholders, including board meetings.
2. Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Contribute to the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to gather and consolidate data.
- Monitor actual expenses against the budget and analyze variances.
- Assist in forecasting financial performance based on historical data and future trends.
3. Accounts Management:
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections.
- Ensure the accuracy of general ledger, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.
- Assist in managing month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Review and maintain fixed asset registers and inventory records.
4. Tax & Regulatory Compliance:
- Assist in preparing tax returns, including corporate tax, GST, and other statutory filings.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and other financial regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants during audits and tax assessments.
5. Payroll & Employee Compensation:
- Support the payroll function, ensuring accuracy and compliance with labor laws and tax regulations.
- Assist in reviewing payroll reports, including deductions, overtime, and leave entitlements.
- Collaborate with HR to ensure smooth integration of financial data with employee records.
6. Internal Controls & Risk Management:
- Help implement and maintain internal control procedures to safeguard the company's assets.
- Identify risks in financial operations and assist in developing risk mitigation strategies.
- Ensure adherence to internal policies and guidelines across all financial transactions.
7. Team Collaboration & Supervision:
- Supervise and mentor junior finance and accounting staff, providing guidance on daily tasks and professional development.
- Work closely with the Finance Manager and other departments to ensure smooth cross-functional collaboration.
- Provide backup support to the Finance Manager in their absence.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA) is an added advantage.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting and finance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting.
Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks) and proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to speak Mandarin is an added advantage

Work Environment:
