Job Description

At Indirect Purchasing we are responsible for the global steering of the different Material Fields. We ensure proximity to our internal customers and regional markets through the worldwide presence of our Buyers. We define the Material Field and the Supplier Strategy and implement them by the persistent work of the IBTs (Indirect Material Bundling Teams). Hereby we realize bundling potentials on the highest level. We create additional values for our internal customers by early involvement and professional structuring of the purchasing process.

Job Description

  • Strategic sourcing for the assigned material field “Logistics & Packaging” mainly in the country’s MY, VN, AU, KR, TH, JP and SG – Source to Contract
  • Input to and implementation of global strategies for the category by ensuring process and compliance requirements
  • Build effective stakeholder relationship management - e.g. operational logistics. Increase early involvement and project coordination
  • Preparation and execution of tenders (RfI / RfQ)
  • Design of Negotiation Strategy and execution under competition as well as w/o competition
  • Preparation and approval of purchasing decisions / contracts in accordance with the signature regulations
  • Manage suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and quality compliance, incl. data quality, evaluation, contract management,
  • Ensure data quality and efficiency, by increasing the rate of automated orders (e.g. eCat, Scheduling Agreements)
  • Interface towards internal customers and first contact person for Indirect Purchasing
  • Alignment of neutral specifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or 5 years’ minimum professional experience in Procurement, Sourcing, Contracts Management, Packaging Design, Logistics procurement, Engineering or equivalent.
  • Contract and Price negotiation
  • Understanding the basic knowledge of the supply chain area (logistics, planning, order, etc.)
  • Project Management and capacity to efficiently manage multiple projects
  • Effective listening and communication (verbal and written in English) with stakeholders on various hierarchy levels. Good cross-functional coordination and commercial mindset
  • Willing to take responsibility and decisive in a time-sensitive situation
  • International Teamwork: Solicits inputs and encourages others
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to identify issues, develop solutions & drive results
  • Data Analysis and proficiency in Microsoft Office and able to work in a digital environment
  • Hands-on mentality

  • Good cross-functional collaboration and commercial mindset, Ability and interest to work in a global team
  • Additional Language competence would be ideal – Japanese, Thai, etc.
