Mapei Malaysia is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Junior Process Engineer for its Nilai Plant.
As a Junior Process Engineer your main tasks will include:
• Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure product quality.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to address process issues and non-conformances.
• Design and implement process improvements, including new equipment, technologies, and procedures.
• Monitor process performance metrics and implement data-driven solutions to achieve targets.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures and work instructions.
• Provide technical support and training to production teams to ensure proper execution of processes.
• Lead the implementation of a new ERP system and participate in the analysis and evaluation of Production and Logistics processes.
• Provide support when needed in Operations processes to the teams in the region.
The ideal candidate for this position:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 1/2 years of experience in process engineering within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with process optimization techniques, such as statistical analysis and Six Sigma.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Clear communication skills in English (spoken and written)
- Able to travel 50% of the time with the APAC region .
