Purpose of the Position To deploy continuous improvement program for function or a region within a country. Works with part time productivity specialists (Green belts, value stream leads and facility / functional level experts) to ideate and execute productivity improvement projects. Works with process owners to drive improvement opportunities within a function or country or a region of the county Act as Trainer and facilitator for projects and workshops at country, function, region, or facility level. Facilitate benchmarking and best practice replication Principal Responsibilities • Deploy and Manage the Productivity program for the country or function or a region of a country • Develop and execute productivity plan working with process owners. • Assist part time resources and process owners in identifying key pain areas and process improvement. • Assess KPIs to generate improvement plan and use Lean/ DMAIC approach to structured problem solving • Lead full time & part time black belts/ resources on deployment of appropriate lean , innovation and six sigma tools • Conduct appropriate Six Sigma trainings (YB, GB, Process Owners and Lean) as per requirements. • Facilitate projects , Facility / Functional Kaizens & Value stream mapping activities • Track the update of Projects through Powersteering and score cards, monitor and control project implementation • Track deployment of control plans by Process Owners for key projects. • Conduct periodic reviews with value stream leads, process owners, country manager & productivity cluster lead. Key Interfaces Works very closely with other Productivity team members who would be full time black belts, part time green belts or value stream leads within a function • Typical Indirect Reports: Trained part time resources: green belts, lean practitioners or other productivity trained resources at the function or the facility level who are project leads or contributors to the projects • Other: Effective partnership with all functions and functional teams to drive productivity across all processes. Work closely with the Cluster productivity lead. Facilitate / Conduct idea workshops, problem solving sessions, value stream workshops, Work with various cross functional teams and develop roadmaps, action plans and execute improvement projects. Support and Mentor trained employees to execute initiatives and projects. • Creativity : Comes up with new/unique ideas, Able to think of different ways of solving a problem, Is able to leverage experience/expertise to suggest improvements • Project management and Control: Update dashboards, scorecards to track progress, monitor & control the projects Use work flow and program management software for effective reporting and control plans for projects • Communication and Presentations : Can Draw up communication plans for project management and follow up with calendar based communication for project execution and control. Prepare effective presentations for process owner reviews, management updates and for best practice sharing. Requirement Work Experience: o 5 to 7 years of Work Experience in Manufacturing & related industries like Petrochemical, Automotive, Electronics or Oil & Gas, o 2-3 years in Operations or Business o 1-2 years in Team leadership o 1-2 years in Facilitation experience • Education: Preferably Bachelors’ degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical or Industrial Engineering or MBA in Operations with sound technical background • Knowledge: Broad understanding of the various functional impact on the business results. Knowledgeable about Operational metrics • Other: Trained in Lean Six Sigma, preferably a Black belt or green belt or Lean specialization • Personal Qualities: Motivated, Self-Driven, Open Minded , Problem solver with experience in driving improvement in teams at facility or functional level
