ACCOUNTANT (GENERAL LEDGER)

Key Responsibilities: Month-End Closing:  Ensure timely and accurate month-end closing activities (General Ledger/Fixed Assets).  Prepare month-end journals in line with Group accounting policies and standards.  Reconcile balance sheet accounts, address variances, and develop action plans for open items.  Review payroll summaries and journals, record inter-company transactions, and maintain monthly exchange rates. Financial Audit:  Manage and support the audit process by providing schedules and acting as the primary contact for auditors.  Prepare consolidated accounts and financial statements for audits. Fixed Asset Accounting:  Record fixed assets and finance lease movements promptly and ensure controls are in place. Inventory Management:  Perform inventory closing, analyze stock count adjustments, and report root causes.  Coordinate annual physical stock counts with operations and auditors. Management Reporting:  Prepare management accounts and analyses as required. Additional Responsibilities:  Extract financial information from online reports.  Identify and develop solutions for continuous improvement opportunities.  Support management in accounting for special projects accurately.  Coach and guide team members on compliance with accounting standards and internal controls. Requirements:  Degree in Accountancy, ideally with a professional certification.  2-3 years of experience in accounting (GL), any prior audit experience is advantageous.  Strong understanding of accounting standards and internal controls.  Advanced computer skills in MS Office and databases.  Highly well-organised, dependable and accurate.  Excellent interpersonal skills and proactive attitude.
