Main purpose of the role:

The purpose of this role is to ensure accurate and efficient product cost accounting processes within the company, providing critical financial data and support to various departments. This role is pivotal in delivering timely price quotations, maintaining up-to-date cost information, and fostering cross-departmental collaboration to ensure cost alignment and efficiency. By managing cost accounting tasks, resolving internal costing issues, and leveraging advanced Excel skills, this role contributes significantly to the company's financial integrity and strategic decision-making.

Specific Role Responsibilities:

As a Costing Manager, you will be working Monday to Friday, to

• Responsible for all aspects of cost accounting work, ensuring adherence to customer requirements and specifications.

• Issue formal price quotations to customers within 24 hours,

• Update standard costs for new items and revise costing for existing items as necessary.

• Liaise with Production, New Product Introduction (NPI), Planning, Operations, and Sales teams for costing matters, ensuring alignment across departments.

• Resolve internal issues related to costing matters promptly.

• Possess good and excellent working knowledge of MS Excel, including formulas, data management, and spreadsheet functions.

• Capable of handling product costing under various shipping terms, ensuring accurate cost calculations and pricing.

• Perform other duties as assigned by management, contributing to the overall efficiency of the costing function.

Knowledge/ Skills/ Experience

• Must be competent in Microsoft Excel and knowledge of Dynamic 365 will be an added advantage.

• Possess a strong knowledge in Product costing.

• At least 5 years of experience, preferably costing experience in the manufacturing industry.

• Committed and able to work under pressure with minimum supervision.

• A good command of English is essential (writing and verbal).

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance/Cost Accounting or Minimum Diploma Holder
