This position offers a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of the retail expansion efforts, playing a key role in extending the brand's presence across various states in Malaysia.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Expansion Planning
- Develop and execute expansion plans to cover multiple states, working collaboratively with the team to ensure strategic growth and to facilitate and expedite expansion initiatives.
- Conduct comprehensive on-the-ground research to identify potential outlets, meeting with landlords, agents, management, residents, and business owners for detailed discussions.
- Cultivate long-term relationships to lay the foundation for future development and expansion opportunities.
- Navigate the competitive market by skillfully negotiating Letters of Intent (LOI), Letters of Offer (LOO), and Tenancy Agreements, always safeguarding the company's core interests.
- Monitor lease renewal cases, ensuring a proactive approach with a 6-month notice before expiration.
- Conduct a thorough study of the latest market trends and situations before finalizing renewal agreements.
- Must be capable of managing tender projects.
- Oversee the implementation of new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and administrative tasks related to retail development.
- Manage documentation, such as the Retail Development form, for the proper release of all deposits.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, or related field.
- Proven experience in retail development or related roles.
- Experience working in Chain Stores for F&B / Pharmacy / Convenient Store will be added advantages.
- Strong negotiation skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic and competitive market.
