1.0 Job Summary

1.1 To increase corporate client base through consistent solicitations while establishing trust and rapport with clients to generate and boost revenues for the hotel.

1.2 Identifies, develops and maintains property sales objectives, sales plans, and programs in accordance with the hotel's mission statement.

2.0 Duties And Responsibilities

2.1 Responsible for Corporate and Travel Agent Room Sales for the hotel.

2.2 Clear understanding of the hotels business strategies then set goals and to determine action plans to meet those goals.

2.3 Update action plans and financial objectives quarterly.

2.4 Identify new markets and business opportunities and increase sales.

2.5 Represent Hotels in various events and exhibition.

2.6 Implements all sales action plans related to my market areas as outlined in the marketing plan.

2.7 Conducts daily sales calls and arrange site inspection trips to hotels by corporate clients.

2.8 Able to provide Quick and timely responses, immediate communication to the properties, develop professional long term business relationships.

2.9 Provide the highest quality of service to the customer at all times.

2.10 Participates in sales calls with members of sales team to acquire new business and/or close on business.

2.11 Executes and supports the operational aspects of business booked (e.g. CVGR, generating proposal, Corporate Rate Application letter, writing contract, customer correspondence).

2.12 Able to supports hotels service and relationship strategy, driving customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience.

2.13 Work closely with Revenue Manager to ensure proposed rate negotiations meet the financial needs of the hotels.

2.14 Develop strong relationships with on property front office team to ensure working in unity and always striving to achieve the same goals.

2.15 Accompany sales team on sales calls to potential clients to assist in development of the account and to access the effectiveness and sales skills of the sales person.

2.16 Assess additional training needs based on data gathered and interaction with sales team from property visits.

2.17 Attending all department and hotel meetings as necessary.

2.18 Targeting key accounts potential for the company.

2.19 Builds and strengthens relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings. Activities include sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, trade shows, etc.

2.20 Develops relationships within community to strengthen and expand customer base for sales opportunities.

2.21 Manages and develops relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

2.22 Acquiring and developing new business accounts and preparing sales proposals for clients.

3.0 Area of Responsibilities

3.1

3.1.1 To develop productive relationship with all customers at a senior level especially the major suppliers of business to the hotels.

3.1.2 Resolve guest complaints ensuring guest satisfaction.

3.1.3 To entertain potential, long stay guests and regular in-house guests.

3.2

3.2.1 To exercise all reasonable care in safe guarding the hotel propriety information.

3.3

3.3.1 To assist in the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed.

3.3.2 Staffs and directs a sales team and provides leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with company vision and values.

4.0 Preferred Knowledge/Qualification/ Experience

4.1 College degree/ diploma in business management, hotel management, or marketing preferable.

4.2 Minimum 5 years working experience in similar capacities in the hospitality or travel trade.

4.3 Dynamic individual with good interpersonal skills, communication skills and a team player

5.0 Financial Responsibility

5.1 To assist in preparing annual sales budget for management approval.

5.2 Assist in achieving or exceeding budgeted goals in sales, profit and occupancy for the total hotel operation.

5.3 To ensure all confirmed functions deposit are collected and payment

received upon completion of function.

6.0 Training and Development

6.1 To assist the sales team within the guidelines established by Hotel.

6.2 Contributes to the development of sales training for each member of

the sales team.

7.0 Other Assignments

7.1 To carry out any other duties assigned by the Management from time to time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
